Comparison Planning Bookmark

This is the tool I use, mainly for key stage 4, to help them figure out what a comparison is. The fish is a surprisingly effective way to get them to think of three things that texts have in common and then distinguish between them. It's a complex bit of thinking, but I find the fish really helps. For some reason it does matter that I let the, have two minutes or so at the start to allow them to do realistic fish. Somehow those two minutes of drawing, seem to commit them to the plan a lot more, especially the first few times. Again, this is in power point, so if you want to add better pictures, pleeeeeease do.
